The most anticipated harvest has got to be our tomatoes.  Since December, Matt and I have been scheming and deciding what types of tomatoes we should grow here at 328North.  Because of our impatience and indecisiveness, we settled on a little over a dozen varieties.  Some we started from seed, others we bought from local farmers and nurseries as small pint size seedlings.

For the past few weeks we’ve been enjoying nothing but fresh tomatoes from our own garden and bypassing every produce stand we come across.  Nothing beats a warm tomato picked right off the vine and into your mouth.  Once you have had homegrown tomatoes, store bought never can compare to the sweetness a real tomato provides.
